A strong application sets the foundation for a successful hiring process. Here are some tips to do before you apply:
- Check the job requirements: Before applying, carefully review the job description to ensure you meet the essential requirements and qualifications and have the necessary experience and skills.
- Tidy up your CV: Ensure your resume is clear, concise and free of errors. Highlight your most relevant experiences and achievements.
- Write a cover letter: Cover letters are useful in expressing why you are interested in the role and how you can contribute to our team, and to include any additional relevant information that didn’t get a space on your CV. It doesn’t have to be long to convey your suitability well.

We understand that the application and selection process can be daunting, so we strive to make everything as clear and straightforward as possible while keeping you informed along the way.
Our hiring journey starts with our Careers Team carefully reviewing each application. They evaluate your qualifications, experience, and how closely they match the role’s requirements.

Initial Informal Information Capture
On occasion we make a phone call as an opportunity for us to get to know you better and for you to learn more about the role and our company culture.
For placement and graduate roles, this call will aim to confirm your availability and placement duration if applicable.
First Interview
This interview typically involves a task provided by us that you will need to prepare in advance. The hiring team will assess your technical skills, problem-solving abilities and cultural fit.
What you can do to prepare:
- Task Preparation: Take time to thoroughly understand the task or questions provided. Practice presenting your findings clearly and confidently. Prepare to be asked about what you’ve presented.
- Review relevant skills: Refresh your knowledge of key hard skills and soft skills related to the role to demonstrate your suitability during the interview with some examples from your experience.
- Cultural Fit: Think about how you can contribute to our team culture and what makes you passionate about working with us.
Second Interview
For candidates who make it to the next stage, a second interview will be conducted. For those who haven't been selected to progress they will be notified.
The second interview often involves a director or other senior-level team member. There will be no task involved, this is an opportunity to delve deeper into your career aspirations and how you envision your growth within Crux.
What you can do to prepare:
Prepare the questions you’d like to ask us. Remember, interviews are a two-way street and provide you with the opportunity to determine if Crux and the role are the right fit for you.

After completing the interview process, we will contact you by phone to discuss the outcome of your application.
For those who are selected to join our team, we will outline the next steps, including details about your offer, start date, and onboarding process.
If we choose not to move forward with your application after the interview, we will notify you accordingly.
